In burning weather conditions it is impossible to focus on work and live. Thus, the air conditioning system system has turned into an absolute necessity there rather than luxury. It was invented by Stuart Cramer, but the term was suggested by W. Carrier. The scientific breakthrough helps people a number of ways. For instance, after the installation of an air conditioner to a Houston theatre, the number of theatre-goers gradually went up. Air conditioning systems reduce air humidity and sustain its quality. There are air conditioners designed to dry the air without cooling it. The air conditioning is commonly composed of a condenser, an evaporator and a compressor. There is also a chemical that converts liquid to gas and vice versa. There exist two kinds of air conditioners: a split and a package system. In the split system, the condenser and the compressor are set outside the room and the evaporator is installed inside the room. The evaporator is specially designed for circulating the air inside the room. In the package system, all components are installed outside the room. There are small-sized, mid-sized and large-sized ACs. The most usually purchased air conditioning system is the window air conditioner which is set on a window and specially designed for cooling a particular room. If more than one room is to be cooled, then you should select a split or a mini-split AC, hinging on the number of rooms to be cooled. The most widely used ones are portable air conditioning systems which you can move around. For cooling the entire house you should use central air conditioners. Portable air conditioning systems are advantageous, because you can use them in any room. It is a transportable unit supplied with wheels so that you can conveniently roll it from one room to another. The only drawback of the air conditioner is electricity bills that can adversely impact on one's budget. Still, below are a few valuable tips to help you reduce the total amount of consumed electricity and, consequently, bills: • Do not install the AC where the Sun faces it directly. This makes the air conditioner use more electricity for cooling a room. • Do not install a big air conditioner in a small room. • When the air conditioning is on, shut doors and windows. So, proper installation and use of the AC will save power.
