Nowadays due to the scorching summer heat, the air conditioner has become a necessity rather than a luxury thing. The air conditioner was first developed by Stuart Cramer, but the term was coined by Willis Carrier. The air conditioner reduces the humidity level of air and maintains its quality. There are air conditioners which dry the air without cooling it. The AC is normally composed of a condenser, an evaporator and a compressor. There is also a chemical that converts liquid to gas and vice versa. Air conditioners come in two kinds: a split and a package system. In the split system, the condenser and the compressor are set outside the room and the evaporator specially designed for circulating the air around the room is set inside the room. In the package system, all components are installed outside the room. There are small-sized, mid-sized and large ACs. The most frequently seen air conditioning is the window air conditioner which is placed on a window and intended for cooling a particular room. If you would like to cool more than one room, then you should pick out a split or a mini-split air conditioning system, hinging on how many rooms you need to cool. The most popular ones are portable air conditioners that can be moved around. For cooling the entire house you should deploy central air conditioners. Portable air coolers are highly beneficial, because you can use them in whichever room you wish. It is a mobile unit on wheels so that you can conveniently move it from one room to another. The only downside of the AC is monthly electricity bills that can put strain on one's budget. Yet, there are several useful tips that help you reduce the amount of consumed electricity and, therefore, bills: • Do not put the AC the sun's direct rays. This makes the air conditioner use more power for cooling a room. • Do not buy a big air conditioning for a small-sized room. • Keep doors and windows closed, when the air conditioner is in on. So, proper deployment of the AC will save power.
